They also did an excellent interview with Alex Jones. Listen here to part one and part two.
This represents a huge breakthrough into mainstream media and previously untapped audiences for 9/11 truth. The Hills averages 3 million viewers, heavily concentrated in the age 12 to 34 demographic. Because Heidi Pratt is very public about her fundamentalist christianity, her influence may go far in making other christians feel safe about speaking out for the truth.
The Truth That Dare Not Speak Its Name
Are 9/11 Truthers in the closet? Should we be? Are there advantages to not mentioning that we are Truthers? Should we lead dual lives, going to the daily grind, dealing with mainstream society by maintaining the illusion that we are incapable of thinking for ourselves or having interesting lives, showing our true identities only to our alternative friends in the Truth movement? Most of us do it to some extent. We call it: "Choosing our battles." Or: "Not getting fired." Sometimes it is just convenient, not to mention 9/11 Truth. Sometimes there are serious consequences -- like losing a job and having no money to feed your children. Sometimes it is even polite -- like not badgering your old grandmother with something she can't really understand. (My use of the term "in the closet" is not an accident. There are important parallels here with the lessons learned by the Gay Liberation movement and they have much to teach us -- more on that later...)
Thank you for your correspondence of April 27, 2009 regarding Minister Stockwell Day's response to a previous inquiry about the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks against the United States.
As noted in Minister Day's letter, the Government of Canada has accepted the findings of the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States (known as the 9/11 Commission Report). While joining with all Canadians in mourning the deaths of the victims of these attacks, the Government of Canada is therefore not inclined to pursue an independent investigation.
Thank you again for sharing your views on this matter.
Yours sincerely,
The Honourable Peter Van Loan, P.C.. M.P. Minister of Public Safety
More from the Cutting Room Floor
I'm whittling away the film. Here are some shots that I've recently cut. It's not really editing when you use the out-takes to make mini movies, is it?
I'm starting to like this film. For an editor, that's where the problems start. The nemesis has a name. It's called "attachment".
Many years ago, in film school, I sat through notorious film classics such as "The Flicker" and "Passons de Jeanne d' Arc". I am not really of the YouTube generation. I have patience for films that are a little bit slower.
In reality, Truth Bus still needs to be trimmed. But the main issue at this point is not pacing - it's structure. The question remains: "What's the story?"
People ask me: "When will Truth Bus be done?" Well, when will we see a proper investigation into the events of September 11? The answer to these questions is still blowing in the wind. Right now, above all, we need a sound editor.
